weird guy on a podcast" rocky-top podcast"

heard this guy on the home radio station I listen to: wdvx.com. By the way, they have a live blue plate special every day. terific musicians like Jeff Black, marty rabon, and the Earl Brothers. Anyhow, they now have this sort of cray dude who comes on and talks with the musicians. he has a podcast that starts in a week. rockytoppodcast

new flash 8 stuff.

I started playing around with flash 8 and did some cheesy stuff on some pieces I was working on. Man, I love it! The best part is that it really speeds things up. I am used to making shadows the old fashioned way, using layers, and shape cutouts. You can do so many nifty things. On the xmas lights here, I used a combination inner glow, shadow, drop shadow, and inner shadow to make the lights look more dimensional. This was one of my 1st proojects in it, so it might look tad crude, but you get the idea. It also really helps the edge quality of images too. I'm used to having to cut out the ragged edges of imported jpegs and so forth. This is an issue for me because the file sizes have to be tiny, thus I dont have the luxory of using other formats that would look cleaner. Great version so far.

been there, done that

This dude, Raymond Angel, is challenging himself to drink a 12oz. bottle of Mountain Dew every 10 minutes for 24 hours, and he's begging you to watch him do it.
You might say he's taking Alf Day to the next level, but I'd like to see that bitch try it with Cream Soda. Go on, I dare ya!

Classic Radio Play Podcasts

Is that Dr. Zhing? No, it's Dr. Ming!

I just discovered two new podcasts that I thought were right up FAF's retro alley:

The Soap Detectives podcast, and the spaceship radio podcast.

Both feature a variety public domain radio plays, each in it's respective genre. We'd scoured the internet for these in the past, but it's nice to have them hand plucked and delivered straight to our itunes libraries every week.

FAF wishes TONG a happy birthday. We hope he enjoys his last swingin' british birthday bash before getting hitched later this month.
